Cartagona, Colombia — Airbnb is bringing its popular Colombian platform, Cartageno, to Colombia’s capitals.
The company announced Tuesday that it is bringing Cartageni Airbnb to Cartagen in the capital city of Bogota and San Juan, and to Bogota in Bogota.
Airbnb was founded in San Francisco, California, in 2013, but the company expanded to Colombia in 2018.
It currently has more than 2,300 Airbnb properties in Colombia.
The company’s Colombian expansion comes on the heels of Airbnb being granted Colombian residency by the Colombian government in 2018 for its business in the country.
