Cartageno, Colombia – A fisherman from Cartagón has described the US response to a fishing disaster that killed more than a dozen fishermen as “very weak”.
In a video posted on YouTube on Wednesday, Pedro Miguel said the US government failed to act in response to the disaster in Cartagenos waters in September.
“The US government is weak, they are weak.
It is a very weak government.
The government is very weak,” Miguel said.”
They didn’t respond to the emergency and the emergency was very bad.”
Cartagena has been experiencing a severe drought since the summer, and officials have warned that the situation could deteriorate.
