More than 100 people have been killed in violence in Mexico’s north over the past week, and police say the death toll could climb.
The violence started after the state of Guerrero on Saturday released the names of dozens of people who were killed in a police operation in the western city of Chihuahua.
In a separate incident on Sunday, a suspected gang member was shot dead after firing at a police helicopter.
The Mexican National Police says it is investigating the incident in Guerrero.
It’s unclear if any of the shootings have any connection to the unrest in Cartagena.
